Diligence is the mother of good fortune!

Diligence is important. If you want something you need diligence to help you get to the good fortune part. My reward for my lady's diligent work is a vacation at the beach this week. I get to run, dig, surf and best of all meet people at my book signings in the Outer Banks. I am planning on earning quite a few treats!

ABC Wednesday- The Importance of Intelligence

Learning and using our intelligence is always fun. Never be inhibited by others saying you can't learn something new. Jack Russells as water dogs, doing water rescue work??Impossible! Well all I can say is the PWD that I did this water rescue on was quite suprised to be on the other end of the rope!
















Humans are always impressed by a display of canine intelligence! Inspire your humans to do more training so you can get more treats.

Using my innate intelligence, I often display impish behavior while I investigate the items that are off limits.

Just me and my shadow

On sunny days, I have a friend. It follows me everywhere, it never eats my treats, but always keeps me company. Since it doesn't go away , I embrace its company. What you can't change in life, find a way to adjust .

Dream big and hope for the best!

I have been patient, I have been on my best behavior. Now I get rewarded by getting to go to the Outer Banks of NC for a whole week! I also get to go to the signing of Salty Dogs there and I am sure I will get a ton of treats! My advice for today? Dream big and hope for the best.

That's My Salty Dogs Book!!

Good things come in the mail and yesterday, the first box of Salty Dogs arrived! I have been patiently waiting for this shipment and the lady has worked hard for the last four years to make this dream come true. Perservance and hard work often pay off!

Boring!!

Sometimes life is just plain boring! I often find myself lying around waiting for the lady to finish her work so we can do something fun. If I am patient , eventually she will find time for me. Also, if I get bored enough I might just get into trouble!

Just Adjust!

Dang! Nothing is working!! Usually the humans can't resist this move. I have heard the lady talking about BARF. Gone are the days of grains and I have been switched to a raw diet. After a couple of day, I decided I needed to just adjust, the old days of begging and getting , food from the table are gone. Once I decided that was the way things were, I adjusted. Now the humans they take longer! Get over it and get on with the work of living!

Something different-ABC Wednesday!

My advice today is to do something different. I will start out, I have joined in a blogging group that each Wednesday , we post pics that begin with a certain letter, today is G. I thought you all might enjoy guessing the Gs in my pictures today. Remember, doing something new keeps the brain active!

Old Friends are the best!

I have spoken about friendship in the past, but since friends play such an important part in our lives it is worth mentioning again. This is Ollie, a friend from my puppyhood. She recently passed away but she will be forever young in the book Salty Dogs. Tell your friends today how important they are to you!

Instincts 2!

Last Friday I told you how important it is to listen to your instincts. After I continued to run around the shed and tried to get in the door, the lady finally listened to her instincts. She put me in the house, opened the shed and found this extension cord shredded! Luckily it was unplugged, but the rat from the barn came in and had a meal. At least us dogs wouldn't eat the extension cord, wait I take that back , puppies probally would !
