Can you Dig it?

Aww, the beach! Last week the people took me to the beach. We had a noreaster the first night and the wind howled most of the week.
One day was perfect and I got to enjoy hunting the elusive sand crabs.














The storm caused quite a bit of damage to the dunes but did expose the holes!















Nothing better than digging for sand crabs.


















Just as nice is the nice comfy sofa at the end of hard digging session!

Take time to smell the flowers

Humans have a disease I call Rushitis. They rush here, rush there, rush everywhere. Sometimes they need help learning to slow down.

I find whining at the door helps. It makes the lady take me out. While I snoot around, she gets a chance to take a deep breath, and enjoy the beauty that surrounds her.

So today, take your dog for a walk and take time to smell the flowers, just watch out for ticks!

Be Happy Where you are!

Sometimes you just have to be happy where you are!

ABC Wednesday! O is for Obedience

Whenever you can take the Opportunity to be Obedient. My lady asked me to be gentle with the puppies so I was













She asked me to say please before I got the treat.

















She asked me to get my paws dried before I came in.

In my experience, being Obedient is often the right thing to do. When asked to come, come.

Take today to take the Opportunity to be Obedient, even if you don't want to be!

ABC Wednesday! Notoriously Noisy Neighbor

I swear I am innocent. It isn't me that is the notoriously noisy neighbor.

Things happening out the window and just about anything she needs to alert the humans to.

So I am not the notorously noisy neighborhor, unless the squirrel dares to run up the tree!

In my humble experience, humans often ask us to do silly things! It is my humble advice to just be patient with the humans, there is not much else you can do!

Some days I have to content myself with watching the birds out the window. It is a good thing to learn, life doesnt always give you hunting days ! So learn to enjoy quiet time.

This is too funny, but if you watch , you will notice that picking up with the hand involves a baggie covering the hand, thank goodness!

Beach Play!

While I wasnt able to go to CA to the beach , my lady took a lot of beach videos. If I had been there, the stick in question would have been MINE!!!

It's cold out!

I often wonder why some of our owners are relucant to put coats on us. If it is cold, wear a coat! It isn't just little dogs that need coats, large dogs with short coats and little body fat need their coats as well. If it is cold, wear a coat!

Jack Russells are known for their Excessive Energy. We love to run, we love to play, we love to be active.

Lack of Exercise can Exacerbate our ability to get into trouble.

A tired Jack is a good Jack!

My advice is to get as much exercise as you can. It makes you feel better.

It keeps you fit as is Evident in the photos of me running. Get out today and get some Exercise!

Staying out of Trouble!

I know it is hard to stay out of trouble. There are all kinds of tempations out there. I find it helps to have some type of barrier to help you remember your boundaries. For me it is a baby gate that helps me stay out of trouble. For you it might be as simple as exercising self control. Like me tho, you might need a barrier!

Don't be afraid to get down and dirty!

Sometimes I see humans that spend a lot of time avoiding gettting dirty. The nice thing about getting dirty is that you Can get clean again, it just takes a little effort. Today, get out , get dirty , then enjoy getting clean again. I don't mind getting clean, but then again, I get a treat for being polite!

Sometimes you gotta lose!

While it is nice to win, it doesn't hurt to lose. Just having fun should be the point of any game!

It Pays to Buckle Up!

Both humans and canines should buckle up! Safety in the car is important and since I was a puppy, I have worn a car harness. It keeps me safe and helps the lady concentrate on the things she needs to when she is driving, mainly the road and not me. The last time I went unbuckled was the time I ended up under her feet while she was driving.Hey, I was just a pup, but every since then she insists I buckle up for safety!

Happy Howl-O-Ween!!

Over the weekend my lady went to help with a town event for kids. Here is one of my friends. He was stuck in jail and had to wear a doofey hat that says prisoner. He is hoping someone will spring him!















After he did his time he did get sprung. Boy, he was on happy puppy and had to really show his appreciation!





















LuLu wasn't so lucky, she had to wear her witch's hat the whole afternoon. Doesn't she just melt your heart??

Get Ready! Howloween is coming!

Each year it is the same. Regardless of our feeling on the matter, the humans feel compelled to dress us up. Since an early age, I have refused to go along with this game. I might wear a hat, but come on, clothes! I really didnt like having to be Toto, for this event. Hey he was a Cairn terrier lady, not a JRT! If you look close , check out my ears, back like that means I am only doing this for the treat!! Dorthy just got to sit there like the scarecrow she was, but I had to look interesting!
