All that runs in the night might not be the black cat! I tore out the door, the lady saw something black running.
.As I got closer to the cat, I found out it was a very black shunk!
Guess what, they stink! I was lucky not to get it in the face. Did you know that if a dog gets skunked underground it can be fatal? Check out this info at the terrierman's website.
I find it is always good to be informed, also I would highly recommend having some sort of deskunk spray at home in case you make the same mistake I did!

Ah, this is one doggy experience I have never had to contend with...yet.
OH Molly!!! Yikes!! I'm glad you didn't get too tangle up with that skunk!! I've never seen one, but I'd probably go after it too!! I better get my human to buy that de-skunk stuff...just incase!
